The original DCD board was designed and manufactured by Outback Marine some eight years ago. It succeeded in enabling both home builders and marine electrical trades to quickly implement a safe and easy to install DC system.

After a few years, the board was redesigned to allow the alternator regulator to be mounted on-board. The DCDSARV3 is still in production today.

Panelec also produces custom boards for boat manufacturers. These may incorporate additional devices - shown below is a board that includes an alternator regulator, solar panel regulator and windlass solenoid.
Production DCD Board for Lightwave Yachts
At the core of a DC power system is the DC Distribution Board; a specialty design that ties together all of the heavy power devices on the vessel. Panelec manufacture a range of boards that are tailored to specific applications. Importantly, the DCD boards tie together in one place the "difficult" stuff - thereby providing an effective solution to heavy DC power distribution.
